Hello, I'm Russ.
I'm a GEO and AI search consultant, and Known & Cited is my business. I'm based in Bath, and I work with PR and comms people on how AI talks about their brands.
Twenty years in PR
I spent twenty years agency-side in international PR, across markets and sectors: campaigns, issues, new business and the operations that keep an agency running. I know what you're measured on and what your clients ask you on a Monday morning.
Why GEO
Once people started asking AI tools for recommendations instead of searching, who gets mentioned became a reputation question. That's PR's territory. I started Known & Cited in 2026 to help comms people get a grip on it, honestly and without the hype.
I've since simplified how I work. I used to sell fixed packages and scores. Now I listen to the problem and do what fits. It's better work, and it's more honest.
How I work
I'm tool-agnostic. I don't sell a platform, and I'm not tied to one. I use whichever tools suit the brief, and I tell you which ones I used and why. I don't produce scores, because AI answers change too much from one ask to the next for a single number to mean much. I'd rather show you who's being cited, how often, and why.

Working with me
I have stage 4 cancer. I work when I'm able to, and I'm open about it because it shapes how I work.
It means I only take on projects that make sense for me and make sense for you. If I say yes, I'm committed, and I'll be straight with you about timings from the start.
FC:AI
Alongside Known & Cited I run FC:AI, a side project building free, practical AI tools for people living with cancer, and making room for the patient voice in the conversation about AI and healthcare. Patients never pay.
